       Summer Specials - Weekdays in July & August

       Getting Buggy with It - Wear something buggy and receive a discount - $2 off regular admission! It's that easy! Items can include shirt, hat, scarf, pin, shoes, etc. Look in your closet: you probably have something with a bug on it.

       Take-Away Tuesdays - Take away special items from our gift shop. Items will be featured with a special discount. Items will be posted weekly on social media. *while supplies last

       Wild Card Wednesdays - Different special each week- could it be a free souvenir? A discount? A scavenger hunt? a free admission? Whatever it is, we will post it on Facebook & Instagram in morning. (must mention Wild Card Wednesday to redeem)

        Crafty Thursdays - Come craft with us. Our staff loves working on bug projects with kids! Times will vary so check our Facebook page for crafting times and additional cost. Crafts are an additional cost but always under $5. *while supplies last

        Feeding Frenzy Friday - Bugs need to eat, too. On Feeding Frenzy Friday at 1:30 you can hang out with our bug keeper while our hardest workers at Insectropolis are fed. (No Frenzy on Friday, August 3rd)

Insectropolis Art Show-

        Show us your ARThropod


Insectropolis announces a call to artists to "Show us your Arthropod!" for an art exhibition.  Accepted entries will be showcased in the BUGS Art Show Exhibit on display March 1- Sept 15, 2018. Free to enter. Open to U.S. resident artists at least 18 years old. 2D Work must be no more than 6' in any direction including the framing or mounting. 3D work must be no larger than 18'' x 32" x 10"; no freestanding sculptures. 


The theme is art inspired by or including an insect or arthropod. This bug theme can be expressed many ways and we look forward to seeing your interpretation. Entries must be original, child friendly, no nudity or violence. 


All media is welcome including oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, drawings, sculpture in any medium, collage, printmaking, photography and digital media. All work must be suitably framed, wired and ready for hanging. Works on paper must be framed under plexiglass or glass. Maximum weight of sculpture: 10 pounds. Wall mounted monitors must be provided for videos. Up to 3 entries per artist. Exhibit space is limited so not all work may be accepted into show.
