Art Contest for Kids
Design a Page in a Coloring Book
Create a black & white image inspired by insects and arthropods. Winning designs will be featured in a coloring book to be published and distributed Spring 2017.
Contest open to children ages 17 and under.
One (1) entry per child. Entries must be black and white images only, no gray scale, no color.
Free to enter.
Submission deadline is 12/1/16.

Insectropolis announces a call to artists to "Show us your Arthropod!" for an art exhibition. Accepted entries will be showcased in the BUGS Art Show Exhibit on display March 1- Sept 15, 2017. Free to enter. Open to U.S. resident artists at least 18 years old. 2D Work must be no more than 6' in any direction including the framing or mounting. 3D work must be no larger than 18'' x 32" x 10"; no freestanding sculptures.
The theme is art inspired by or including an insect or arthropod. This bug theme can be expressed many ways and we look forward to seeing your interpretation. Entries must be original, child friendly, no nudity or violence.
All media is welcome including oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, drawings, sculpture in any medium, collage, printmaking, photography and digital media. All work must be suitably framed, wired and ready for hanging. Works on paper must be framed under plexiglass or glass. Maximum weight of sculpture: 10 pounds. Wall mounted monitors must be provided for videos. Up to 3 entries per artist. Exhibit space is limited so not all work may be accepted into show.

Drop off new tagged, children's pajamas and/or new books at Insectropolis and we will deliver them to the local Pajama Project chapter.
Say "Jingle Bug" and $2 of your regular admission will be donated to the local Pajama Project Chapter.
The Pajama Program, is a non-profit organization, that provides new, warm pajamas and books to children in need in the United States and around the world. Many who are waiting and hoping to be adopted.
All sizes are needed.

Insectropolis is proud to have collected and donated over 500 pajamas and over 200 books!
Our six-week series is perfect for students in grades 6-8. This program is intended for homeschoolers or curious students who wish to delve deeper into the fascinating world of bugs. Topics are varied and are designed to encourage further investigation to explore the ways insects impact our world. Each week will include an in-depth discussion plus an interactive activity.
