Scouts have a choice for their group visit.
Groups can visit our facility and tour the museum at their own pace. Touch presentations are offered at approximately 11:00, 12:30 and 2:00 on Saturdays. Admission is $8 per visitor. If there are 15 or more in your group, you can take advantage of the group rate of $6 per visitor. In order to receive the group rate discount, payment needs to be made by one individual in the group.
Groups can arrange to have a tour guide. A guide escorts your group through our exhibits allowing everyone a chance to touch live bugs along the way. A guided tour is$120 and is approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Guided tours need to be scheduled in advance and require a deposit.

Tarantulas have earned a creepy reputation because of their large, hairy bodies and legs. What most people don't know is that these spiders are harmless to humans (except for a painful bite), and their mild venom is weaker than a typical bee's.
